Working Draft Horse Festival

Hoddles Creek just north east of Melbourne was for a long time the place to go for working draft horses and this one was a beauty.   Over 40 draft horses turned up to take to the field ploughing, and doing all the other things that horses were required to do out there in the field.

See an article on irons, stationary engines, blow lamps and traps.   There is so much to see on this program it is a favourite with many people, who watch this over and over again.  They just love the working horses and with the serenity of the bush, this program sure feels like it was a way back when.

See shingle work and listen to the stories.   This is a program of nostalgia.
