QUEANBEYAN

This program takes us to Queanbeyan just out of the National Capital of Australia to the rally put on by the Canberra Club.

The special focus of this event was Australian made but many other overseas engines and tractors rolled up.

This program is very heavily orientated to stationary engines with many Australian examples on display.  See engines like the Galloway, Meadowbank, Cooper, Jelbart, International, Ruston Hornsby ( YES - Australian built) along with many overseas engines like Lister and NOVO, Bolinger, and many, many more rare and interesting engines.

Of special interest is the feature article which is by Sterling Cycle engine buff, Reg. Ingold.  Reg. gives us a pretty comprehensive overview of hot air engines along with many engines in his collection.  Reg. gives an interesting discussion on the plight, future and potential of the hot air engine.

Two tractors are featured, one the HSCS G35 and another which is a home build which gave the owner builder many years of service.

For the stationary engine buff, this program will give you hours of enjoyment.

Running time 60 minutes.   Available in PAL or NTSC formats
