Citipower Sunrace '99 was an event featuring solar powered and electric powered vehicles over a distance of more than 1700 kilometres from Sydney through to Melbourne via the open plains country of outback New South Wales.

See multi-million solar powered cars speed along the open roads doing the speed limit - easily.  How about the low budget electric vehicles, and the Porche - the speed of this car will change your thinking on electric vehicles.

In this one hour program, you will see these cars in operation along Australian roads, and largely using Australian technology.

If you interest is in alternative power technologies, this program will give you a good insight into what is required and what the capabilities are in solar and electric vehicle technology today.
